With years of experience in manufacturing linear shafts, we provide customer satisfaction through manufacturing and customization.
At Bos, we care about you and your company. We specialize in the customization, material selection, and manufacturing of linear shafts, and provide excellent services according to your needs.

The unique advantages of our Hollow Shafts make them indispensable across a wide spectrum of modern industries. In the realm of robotics and automation, these shafts are integral to robot arm joints and rotary actuators, where their hollow core allows for the internal routing of cables, preventing tangling and wear. The automotive and aerospace sectors utilize our high-strength Hollow Shafts in steering systems, landing gear mechanisms, and propulsion systems, where every kilogram saved contributes to overall efficiency and performance. For machine tools, packaging machinery, and printing presses, they function as main spindles and drive shafts, facilitating the passage of cooling fluids, vacuum lines, or tool-clamping mechanisms directly through their center. This versatility demonstrates our capacity to tailor Hollow Shafts for applications demanding anything from high-speed rotation and precise positioning to exceptional corrosion resistance in harsh environments.

Selecting us as your Hollow Shafts supplier means more than just procuring a component; it signifies the beginning of a technical collaboration. Our Vertically Integrated Manufacturing model gives us complete oversight from raw material to finished product, ensuring stringent quality control, traceability, and consistent output. We pride ourselves on our Profound Customization Capability. Our engineering team possesses the expertise to collaborate with you on developing custom Hollow Shafts with integrated features such as keyways, splines, flanges, or special mounting interfaces, tailored to your specific application challenges. Furthermore, our Rigorous Quality Assurance Protocol employs state-of-the-art metrology equipment, including CMMs and ultrasonic testing, to verify dimensional accuracy and internal integrity, ensuring every shaft we deliver is free from defects and performs reliably under load.

The most common materials are high-carbon chromium steel (like SUJ2/52100), which is hardened and chrome-plated for optimal wear resistance. For corrosive environments, stainless steel (such as SUS304 or 440C) is used, offering excellent corrosion resistance though with generally lower hardness than hardened steel.
These are international tolerance grades for shafts. A grade like g6 indicates a sliding fit, perfect for applications requiring precise movement with minimal play. h6 is a precision location fit, offering very tight tolerances for high-accuracy systems. The choice depends on your required balance of freedom of movement and positional accuracy.
