With years of experience in manufacturing linear shafts, we provide customer satisfaction through manufacturing and customization.
At Bos, we care about you and your company. We specialize in the customization, material selection, and manufacturing of linear shafts, and provide excellent services according to your needs.

The advantages of specifying our Hard Chrome Plated Shafts are both immediate and long-term. The primary benefit is a dramatic extension of service life. The hard chrome surface drastically reduces wear rates, not only protecting the shaft itself but also significantly extending the life of associated seals and bearings, thereby reducing the total cost of ownership. Secondly, the exceptional corrosion resistance ensures operational integrity in humid, saline, or chemically aggressive environments, preventing the pitting and rust that lead to seal failure and fluid contamination. Furthermore, the ultra-smooth, low-friction surface finish we achieve minimizes running friction and prevents stick-slip motion, which is critical for achieving smooth, precise movement in high-speed or sensitive applications. Finally, the immense surface hardness provides outstanding resistance to scratch-inducing contaminants and abrasive dust, a common cause of premature failure in challenging industrial settings.

Choosing our organization as your dedicated Hard Chrome Plated Shafts Supplier is a decision rooted in partnership and technical excellence. Our vertically integrated manufacturing process allows us to maintain absolute control over every stage, from raw material procurement to final inspection, ensuring traceability and consistent quality. Our quality assurance is relentless, employing coordinate measuring machines for dimensional verification, surface profilometers for finish analysis, and advanced non-destructive testing techniques to guarantee the integrity of both the substrate and the plating bond. Beyond our manufacturing capabilities, we offer profound technical collaboration. Our engineering team possesses the expertise to advise on material selection, heat treatment protocols, and plating specifications to optimize performance for your unique application, whether it requires maximum wear resistance or superior corrosion protection.

The most common materials are high-carbon chromium steel (like SUJ2/52100), which is hardened and chrome-plated for optimal wear resistance. For corrosive environments, stainless steel (such as SUS304 or 440C) is used, offering excellent corrosion resistance though with generally lower hardness than hardened steel.
These are international tolerance grades for shafts. A grade like g6 indicates a sliding fit, perfect for applications requiring precise movement with minimal play. h6 is a precision location fit, offering very tight tolerances for high-accuracy systems. The choice depends on your required balance of freedom of movement and positional accuracy.
